According to his website<\/a>,”Callen Schaub is an abstract artist most recognized for his unconventional techniques, live performances, and frank openness about his process and life as an artist.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That\u2019s good stuff, but here are the reasons I dig him. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. He\u2019s the Bob Ross of abstract painting<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Bob Ross<\/a> made landscape oil painting more accessible and Callen does the same for abstract painting. Callen\u2019s live performances and videos show exactly how he creates his paintings, just like Bob\u2019s show, \u201cThe Joy of Painting,\u201d showcased the process of creating a landscape oil painting. Both Callen and Bob bring people behind the curtain and inspire their viewers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
